About Jerry and Zanzibar

Jerry and Zanzibar moved to Charlotte about 3 years ago. Like any sane people would do when moving to a new city, they started searching for the best restaurants in Charlotte. Turning to the internet to aid with this search, Jerry and Zanzibar quickly realized that the most prominent food blogs, top restaurant lists, and food influencer’s recommendations all offered the same few suggestions. Naively, Zanz started taking Jerry to some of these recommended spots only to find them to be as underwhelming as the cookie cutter content that suggested the restaurants in the first place.

After a few failed recommendations, Jerry and Zanzibar set off into the depths of Charlotte, determined to find the best restaurants in the city. This blog is not only designed to provide you with quality recommendations, but to shine light on some of the overlooked or undiscovered restaurants in Charlotte that seem to get lost in a sea of paid advertising.
